About Me

Bridget Dilkes (Bea) was born in Cape Town where she has lived near the mountain and sea her entire life.  She is a part-time music teacher by profession, teaching young and older folk the joy of music and this is the same passion that guides her paintings.  Bridget celebrates beautiful, vibrant colours and delicate textures making use of her beloved palette knife to help achieve an original style in her paintings. She is  inspired by her surrounds of beautiful mountains, sparkling seas, magical forests and springtime splendour.  She has exhibited and sold at various local exhibitions and coffee shops in and around Cape Town.  She spends all of her spare time outdoors taking photos and looking for possible painting opportunities while hiking in the forest, enjoying our beautiful beaches, weekends away and overseas adventures.
