About Me

Bridget has lived in Cape Town all her life, surrounded by towering mountains, and sparkling seas.  A music teacher by profession, she is a self-taught artist and shares her love of creativity through both music and painting, finding joy in teaching others, and expressing the same sense of harmony and rhythm on canvas.

 

Bridget celebrates strong, vibrant colours and delicate textures, working with oils and  her beloved palette knife to create her distinctive, expressive style.  Her inspiration comes from the diverse nature around her, and in recent years she has turned her gaze beneath the surface, discovering snorkelling and the magnificent underwater landscapes of the Kelp Forest.  Through her art, she reveals that the palette of the ocean, alive with movement, light and colour, can be every bit as beautiful and dynamic as the fields of flowers above.

 

She has exhibited and sold her work at various local exhibitions, Coffee Shops and Restaurants in and around Cape Town.  She lives in Fish Hoek with her husband and naughty Labrador.
